AIRPORT SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY

Airport safety had never been more important than it is today. AERODOM takes particular interest in airport and air traffic safety. With state-of-the-art technology, we have implemented numerous, continued monitoring/checking measures, thus increasing the confidence in commercial aviation for the transportation of passengers, baggage and cargo. Aerodom operates airports in compliance with international laws and regulations; it also establishes a high level of coordination with the different national and international authorities and ruling entities.

IMPROVEMENT AND EVOLUTION
  • Creation of the Safety Department and the connection with Government safety agencies
  • Creation of the Safety Committee
  • Program for safety monitoring and auditing
  • Creation of a specialized team for the safety of public areas
  • Creation of a specialized team for the safety of vehicle circulation and parking areas
  • Control and equipment of the identification system
  • Baggage safety program
  • New X-Ray machines and metal detector arches to check passengers and 100% of invoiced suitcases
  • Safety equipment maintenance program
  • TVCC System (TV Camera Control). This system allows a constant control of all operations across the airport terminal (safety closed circuit).
  • Acquisition of card reading systems at the different access doors: This is a high-technology system that allows access by using an ID card. With this system we know who has used a door at any given time. This is going to be a part of the airport safety systems (presently being implemented).
HIGH TECH
  • IKUSI solution for public announcements:
-BIDS System (Baggage Information Display System): it consists of a group of information monitors located near the carousels of the airport terminals, specifically at customs, in order to inform passengers the carousel number where their luggage will be coming out.
-FIDS System (Flight Information Display system): It consists of a group of monitors and screens distributed across the terminal displaying information on flight arrivals/departures.
  • Hotlines: these are emergency communication lines between different departments, such as: Operation Center - Fire Station, Operation Center – Control Tower, etc.
  • iMuse: Multi User System Environment: This is a technology that allows several airlines to share the same departure gates and check-in desks, making airport operations more efficient.
